Galaxy SBecause the user in the screenshot withdrew from the One UI 8.5 beta program after installing Beta 1, their phone is stuck in a software "limbo." Samsung’s servers won't send standard stable Over-The-Air (OTA) updates to a device running an abandoned beta build.
To fix this and get onto the stable public release, they have to manually downgrade/roll back using a PC. Here is how to fix it and solve the common Smart Switch backup roadblock.
Step 1: Fix the Smart Switch "Backup Problem"
When downgrading from a higher/beta version of One UI to a lower/stable version, Smart Switch often throws an error or refuses to restore the backup because newer Android backups are generally incompatible with older software versions.
The Workaround: Instead of doing a full system backup, open Smart Switch on the phone and PC and back up only vital personal data (Contacts, Messages, Photos, and Videos). Avoid: Do not back up "Settings", "Home Screen layout", or "Apps". These system files carry the beta configuration and will cause the restore to fail or cause heavy glitches on the stable firmware. Alternative: Use Google Drive or Samsung Cloud specifically for contacts and messages, and move photos/files to a computer or USB drive manually. Step 2: The Official Rollback (Via Smart Switch PC)
Since the user officially quit the beta program in the Samsung Members app, Smart Switch on a computer should officially offer the rollback option.
Download and install Smart Switch for PC/Mac on a computer. Connect the Galaxy S24 FE to the computer via a reliable USB cable. Unlock the phone and allow data access. Once Smart Switch detects the phone, a button labeled "Downgrade" or "Rollback" should appear on the main screen (underneath the device details). Click it and follow the prompts. This will completely wipe the phone and install the latest official, stable software.

Galaxy SDear Samsung Member,
Greetings from Samsung Customer Support!
As per your concern, we would like to inform you that to use the official software and services, please be sure to reinstall (rollback) to the final version of the official software.
You can reinstall the software using the PC version of Smart Switch. Once the software is reinstalled, the device will be reset, and all data generated during the Beta Program will be erased. While you can recover all data that was backed up before installing the beta software, there may be limitations in recovering data created after installing the beta software.
If the issue still occurs, please visit the service center for a physical inspection of your device. You can locate your nearest service center with this given link: https://www.samsung.com/in/support/service-center/
Also, we want to inform you that the stable software update of One UI 8.5 has been released for all users of S24 Series. We request you to please wait as you will receive the update on your device soon. Please stay active on the samsung members app for updates and additional information.
Warm Regards,
Samsung Customer Support
