Smart Select no longer shows Extract Text option on Android 10

Before Android 10 update on the Galaxy S10, when selecting an area of the screen using the Smart Select Edge Panel, we used to get an option to "extract text" from that part of the selected screen. 

That option is gone in Android 10.

So frustrating! Why is Samsung removing the most useful features?

Bro, it's working.. try once again...
or
remove that panel and add it again
or
perform normal phone reset settings

it's working actually, but not for screenshots and in some other cases like the pic.

I think I'll have to reset.

not in my case...it's working fine...remove panal or reset app preferences

Did anyone figure this out? The option has not been working on my S9 for a really long time now...i already emptied cache/storage of the app and restarted, but i cant get text extract back...

Same thing happened to me but now I figured out.

You have to push T then you will get the text👍

Thank you. Removed frustration.  It worked fine where it was. Why change it?  I find I get more and more frustrated with updates (android) when they remove features and permissions from app developers which I used a lot. Wish you could complain.  (I've tried jumping the hoops for that!)
