Galaxy S1. Basic Troubleshooting
Restart the phone: A simple reboot can often fix temporary software glitches.
Re-seat the SIM card: Power off the phone, carefully remove the SIM tray, and ensure the Airtel SIM card is correctly and securely placed in the SIM 1 slot. Check for any dust or debris on the SIM card and the tray itself, and gently clean it with a soft cloth.
Toggle Airplane mode: Turn on and then turn off Airplane mode to reset the phone's network connections.
2. Software-Related Solutions
Check SIM Card Manager: On a Samsung device, navigate to Settings > Connections > SIM card manager. Ensure that both SIM card slots are activated. If the SIM card is detected but labeled incorrectly, you may be able to rename it here.
Reset network settings: This will reset all network-related settings, including Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, to their default values but will not delete personal data. On a Samsung phone, go to Settings > General management > Reset > Reset mobile network settings.
Update phone software: An outdated software version can sometimes cause issues with SIM detection. Check for any available system updates by going to Settings > Software Update.
3. Hardware and Advanced Checks
Swap SIM cards: To determine if the issue is with the SIM card or the phone's SIM slot, try swapping the SIM cards. Place the Airtel SIM in slot 2 and another working SIM in slot 1. If the Airtel SIM works correctly in slot 2 and the other SIM has the same issue in slot 1, the problem is likely with the phone's SIM 1 slot.
Inspect for physical damage: Check the SIM card and the SIM tray for any physical damage like bent pins or scratches. If the SIM card itself is damaged, it may need to be replaced by the service provider.
Use Samsung's diagnostic tool: Some Samsung devices have a hidden diagnostic menu that can be accessed by dialing a specific code (e.g., *#0*#) to test hardware components like SIM card detection.
If none of these steps solve the issue, it may indicate a deeper hardware problem with the phone, and it is recommended to visit an authorized Samsung service center for a professional diagnosis and repair.

Galaxy SI have tried resetting all the settings, but the problem is still unresolved. After that, I went to the authorized service center, where the sales executive formatted my S25, but the problem is still not resolved.
Then I decided to live with the problem and renamed SIM slot 1 to 2 and slot 2 to 1.
