When I read the article I was not shocked . Smartphones in Indian market apart from Apple have very less resale value. For example I sold my S10 this year at Samsung authorised store and got resale value of just 28000 apart from cashback offer of Rs. 5000. My handset was in mint condition and not scratches at all. Before anyone comments I checked everywhere else and was getting amount of Rs. 24000 only. When I looked at Samsung USA website I was getting resale value of Rs. 45000 apart from cashback offer which sounds crazy. According to this article : https://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_will_buy_back_old_galaxy_s20_devices_at_up_to_50_of_msrp_after_two_... , same is case with S20 plus I.e. if you sell your phone in US after 2 years you get 45000 Rs. And here in India you get leave 2 years just after 1 year 24000 to 25000 only which is just crazy for a phone which you bought for Rs. 74000.  Now S20 plus is selling for Rs. 78000 after GST price hike. Check the image below.

still a phone you bought for 78000 and after you go to sell it after 1 year sells just for 24000 or 28000 is lot less when compared to selling phone in US.

Exynos varients don't have much value as compared to Qualcomm (US) one's.

it is not like that dude and exynos is not that bad either. It is about the way the Indian market takes Brand value.

both yes and no. it's true that exynos variant is having less resale value than QC variant. you can't sell exynos variant in USA. that's why there is a reseller price difference.
