Why is selective focus camera mode is so slow? whenever I click the button it requires 3-5 seconds to process and if the phone is moved little bit then it can't apply focus.
why it can't take photo immediately after pressing the button and then take some time for processing in background(behind the main task)

because the S8 has a single lens camera which takes time to focus, analyze and then keep the focus in place. if it had two lenses then the job would've been done within seconds like the iPhone and the One Plus 5

Thank you for your query. The relevant department may serve you better/speedily, if you can provide logs/video by registering this feedback in Error Section (Samsung Members App -> Feedback -> Questions/Errors -> Create -> Error reports).
