I just want to express my views over a security breach in samsung facial recongition technology which is most used in phone security lock. It can be used in various default or 3rd party apps like banking and wallets apps. So this feature is meant to be highly secured and well updated.

I am using Samsung s24 ultra. And this can unlock on my two elder brothers face, even we are different in looks and have different facial features.

I am very disappointed to observe this, also what is the point of buying so much expensive phones when the most basic security feature is not so strong. Our data is not safe, ayone can fool this kind of technology and bypass it.

My both elder brothers owns apple products they were trolling me and samsung for this case.

I felt very bad after this. Even Samsung tries to over power apple in every aspects but whats is the point of arguing if your basic security feature is the worst.

Please consider this.

Thanks

It's frustrating when facial recognition technology doesn't work as expected, especially on a high-end device. Samsung's face unlock can sometimes be less secure than other methods, like fingerprint scanning or PINs, because it relies on 2D images. This can lead to issues with similar-looking faces being recognized.
If security is a top concern, consider using a more secure option like a fingerprint sensor or a strong password/PIN. You might also want to check for software updates, as manufacturers often improve security features over time. Your feedback is valid, device manufacturers should continually work to enhance the reliability of their security technologies.
