I havent had an issue before a few weeks ago, i was able to record everything with sound & if ii didnt want to record sound ii just pressed "no sound" to just record the screen. But for the past few weeks using "record with media sounds" & " record with mic & media" never works. It will only record the screen & no sound. I've even tested it after removing the recent Samsung capture update & clearing the cache, still the same thing. No sound on videos, calls, or with me speaking into the mic. Did something change with the app?

Hi, please check wheather it's due to any bluetooth headset, or it's only while using certain apps.
Anyway check your device software is up-to-date. Then verify all your apps are upto date from both stores and restart your device. If that not work, try it in safe mode. Safe mode tells you wheather the issue is caused by any third party apps. To activate safe mode, press and hold the power off button ( 🔴 Red button on the screen). To exit the safe mode, just restart the device. Let me see wheather it works. Thank you.

Nope, safe mode couldn't detect an issue. I tried using the screen recorder in safe mode & it still did the same thing (no sound recording). And my device is up to date.

And my Bluetooth isn't connected when I try to record.

Okay, please try after wiping your cache partition.
(Simply connect your device to the computer via data cable (or just insert a c-ported headset) > Switch off your device >Press and hold, power button + volume-up button for 4-5 seconds till the phone turn on and boot into the recovery mode.
Use volume keys to navigate to 'wipe cache partition.' Use power key to select and confirm. Then reboot your device. This will not effect any personal data or settings. This is recommended after updates.

After turning ON the device, try a forced restart (Press and hold power key+volume down key for 10-15 seconds (till the logo comes up)). Let me see wheather it works.

It's still not working! I think it may just be something in the phone app/ settings. I cannot record phone calls anymore but ii was able to do so when ii first got the phone.

Try this too, Goto Settings > Apps > Phone > Storage > Clear Cache > Clear data.
If that doesn't work reset your settings. (Settings > General management > Reset > Reset all settings) Please note that this will reset all your settings to factory default. But no data will be lost.
