Samsung update promise is a lie and embarrassing

Samsung promises 7 years of updates, but these updates are so delayed it is embarrassing. For a flagship phone like the s25 ultra to wait more than 5 months to be on par with the current s26 is a joke. Apple can do it the right way. Yes I know Apple have close integration with hardware and software, but surely Samsung should be familiar with their own hardware as well.

The problem here is delayed updates, your title claims a broken promise. You can't claim a 7-year promise is a lie when you're only two years in.

Look at the S21, Samsung promised 4 years of OS updates and it got 4. The S20 and S10 also hit their promised updates. S22 was promised 4 and is now on the 4th one.

Not the same thing as delayed.

It is a case of principle. The wording changed in their promise from previous generations. The S21 was promised 4 major os upgrades, not 4 years of upgrades. So they could do it in the amount of time they wanted. For the S25 they promise 7 years of upgrades. So if they delay every upgrade by 6 months you end with only about 4 upgrades.
