Recently updated my phone with the new software and it's been an absolute nightmare. Battery drainage is through the roof. It hardly lasts. My phone has a new thing of freezing when I open certain apps then it goes off completely. It's the weirdest thing. This all started after the update. Am I the only one experiencing this?

I only relate to battery drainage, but since I switched to 60hz battery lasts better than before.

Try to soft reset your phone (No data will be erased or deleted):

*Save your work before proceeding to soft reset.

Press & hold the power button (side key) and Volume down button together until the device restarts.

If the issues are still there, back up your data and then factory reset the phone. If that does not solve the problem, you may take your phone to a service centre for repair.

Tips to keep in mind when updating your phone:

1. Make sure that the battery level is at least 60%.

2. Have a good internet connection. It doesn't matter if the speed is slow sometimes. Avoid frequent internet connection disconnects while the update is downloading.

3. Avoid downloading the update using mobile data when possible especially when there is frequent disconnect. Wi-Fi is better.

*Use the pause option when no internet connection is available.

4. Find a time when you won't be using your phone for important things and use that time to update your phone.

5. After the phone restarts when the update has been installed even if your phone has the "install while downloading" option, give the phone time to load even if your phone is a flagship phone before you start using the device or at least wait for the pop-up similar to the "software is up to date" with the "Ok" option.
