Samsung S23 Ultra in Gulf Area

Good day,

If I want to buy Samsung S23 Ultra from UAE and use in other countries (especially in Qatar), what is the best version should I buy (International, TRA UAE or Middle East)?

What is the differences between those versions? I saw the price for International version is the less and the difference is about 1,000 Dirham comparing to TRA version.

Is the warranty broken if I use Qatari SIM card with the device purchased from UAE?

Kindly note that in the Gulf region, there's no international and local versions.
The thing is all the Gulf devices are unlocked, If you purchase a device from the Gulf region, and travel to another country outside, the device will work properly, it won't show the regional lock or the SIM card lock.
The differences between devices will be related to the region of device, and the region that the customer is located in, for example, If you purchase a device from the UAE you can use Samsung pay app because it's supported in the UAE, and it's from the UAE region.
But, If you get the same device to Qatar, the app will not work because it's not supported in Qatar.
Also, If you get a 5G device from the UAE, the network settings will be different depending on the region, some cities inside the UAE don't support the 5G for example, and so on.
But, please be informed that Samsung doesn't support the international warranty, unfortunately.

 Kindly note that Samsung doesn't support the international warranty, unfortunately. Also, some apps and features are supported in the UAE, they are not supported in the other GCC countries due to market regulations. You can use a SIM card in Qatar for sure. However, please note that If you are based in Qatar as a home country, we recommend you to purchase the phone from Qatar not from the UAE for ease of transfer of data and apps.

Hi,

I am European and currently living in the UAE. I own a Galaxy S21 and I am considering buying the S23 but I am in doubt about which one to buy, UAE version or the international version.

I want to transfer all the content from my current S21 to the S23, including some apps I have installed that do not exist in the UAE (e.g. Revolut).

Will the UAE version imply any kind of software or content control constraints?

Can you help me clarify which one I should choose?

Kindly note that there's noting mentioned officially that Samsung is selling international and Middle east versions. The thing is Samsung doesn't support the international warranty fir example, some apps and features are supported in the UAE, but they are not in the other GCC countries like the Samsung health app. But, If you are mainy based in Qatar, we recommend purchasing the phone from Qatar directly.

I am not actually living in Qatar, but in Abu Dhabi.
What I want to realise is if by migrating the content from my S21 to the S23 UAE version, using the Samsung migration app, the apps that I have installed there and that are not available in the UAE, will also be installed.
