TikTok & Streaming: Apps like TikTok use the screen, speakers, and high-speed data simultaneously, which can cause the device to warm up, particularly if you are in a warm environment.

A few things you can try: Give it a few days: Once the initial setup and "learning" phase is complete, the temperature usually stabilizes. Check Background Apps: Use Device Care to see if any specific app is consuming an unusual amount of battery. Good Guardians: If you haven't already, download the Thermal Guardian module from the Galaxy Store. it gives you a detailed look at what is causing the heat and lets you adjust the thermal threshold.

If it stays uncomfortably hot even during light use after a week, it might be worth running a diagnostic via the Samsung Members app > Get Help > Interactive checks.

Thank you for reaching out regarding your Galaxy S26 Ultra and the heating issue you experience while using TikTok or downloading software updates. We understand your concern, and we’re here to clarify.

It is normal for the device to warm up during intensive tasks such as streaming videos, using high-performance apps, or downloading large updates, because the processor, screen, and network components are all active simultaneously. Environmental temperature can also contribute to this effect.

To help manage the temperature, please try the following steps:

  1. Allow Device to Stabilize:
After initial setup or major updates, your device may take a few days to complete background processes, during which temporary heating is normal.
  2. Check Background Apps:
Settings > Battery and Device Care > Battery > Usage Since Full Charge. Identify apps consuming high resources and close unnecessary apps.
  3. Use Device Diagnostics:
Open Samsung Members > Get Help > Interactive Checks > Thermal Check. This will help identify apps or processes causing excessive heat.
  4. Avoid Intensive Use in Hot Environments:
High ambient temperatures combined with heavy app usage may increase device heating.
  5. Optional – Thermal Guardian Module:
You may install the Thermal Guardian module from Galaxy Store to monitor device temperature and adjust thermal thresholds for better control.
