Galaxy S
Hi
The S26 Ultra (Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra) is a highly anticipated upcoming flagship, but many of its details are leaks and rumors. Here’s a breakdown of what is (and isn’t) known so far — plus the possible risks based on these leaks.
---
What We Know / What’s Being Rumored
1. Performance & Chipset
The S26 Ultra is expected to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2 (or a version of that), which would be a very powerful and efficient chip.
For memory, rumors suggest 12 GB RAM with storage options starting from 256 GB, and potentially going up to bigger sizes.
It’s also rumored to run Android 16 out of the box, likely with Samsung’s One UI 7 (or newer).
---
2. Display
Leaks suggest a 6.9-inch LTPO AMOLED / OLED display, which would likely support high refresh rates and adaptive modes.
A very interesting rumored feature: “Flex Magic Pixel” — an AI-powered screen technology that could limit viewing angles to boost privacy (so people next to you can’t easily see your screen).
There is also talk of CoE (Color Filter on Encapsulation) display tech, which could improve color and reduce power usage.
---
3. Cameras
The rear camera system is strong: leaks point to a quad-camera setup.
Main sensor: 200 MP (with OIS) for very high resolution.
Ultra-wide: ~50 MP.
Telephoto: there’s controversy — one telephoto might be 10 MP (3×) per a recent leak, which some see as a downgrade.
Another telephoto: 50 MP, periscope, possibly 5× zoom.
On video: rumored to support 8K recording and high frame rates.
---
4. Battery & Charging
There are conflicting leaks about the battery:
One leak says 5,000 mAh capacity, with 45 W wired charging.
Another (from “prototype” sources) suggests a 5,500 mAh stacked battery, which would be a bump.
Wireless charging and reverse wireless charging are also expected.
---
5. Build & Design
Premium materials: rumoured to have an aluminum frame and Gorilla Glass on front + back.
There are suggestions of S Pen support continuing (or coming back) on the Ultra version.
For connectivity: 5G, NFC, and likely very modern standards (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth) are expected.
---
6. AI & Software Features
On-device Agentic AI is rumored: this could let the phone do more intelligent tasks (like smart photo editing, translations, or automations) without needing constant internet.
With the AI-enabled screen (Flex Magic Pixel), there’s a potential for privacy-first design.
---
7. Launch & Price
According to some sources, the launch might be around February 25, 2025, though this could change.
In available markets, leaked prices vary. For example: one listing in Kenya is ~Ksh 126,000.
In Pakistan, a leaked price is PKR 424,000.
---
8. Risks / What’s Still Uncertain
Because these are leaks, nothing is guaranteed yet — specs could change before official release.
Some users / leakers are concerned about battery capacity not improving much. > “Samsung may repeat the 5000 mAh battery … relying on software and AI for battery improvements.”
The 3× telephoto camera downgrade is a concern for photography / zoom enthusiasts.
Manufacturing and feature decisions (like the AI screen) could be delayed, altered, or cut.
---
Sample Products (from Listings)
Here are some currently-sold “S26 Ultra” devices on marketplaces — be careful because some of these may be knockoffs or misleading listings (since the real S26 Ultra isn’t officially widely available yet):
[S26 Ultra 5G 7.3″ Unlocked Smartphone]() — 16 GB RAM / 1 TB listed on eBay.
[S26 Ultra 5G Global Unlocked, 16 GB + 1 TB]() — similar variant, reportedly Android 15.
> ⚠️ Note: These listings look like import or possibly knock-off devices. Be very cautious: specs and build quality may not match the rumored flagship.

Galaxy SMy Assessment
Strengths: If the rumors are true, the S26 Ultra could be a very powerful camera-first phone, especially with its 200MP main sensor, strong AI integration, and a big, high-quality display. The “Flex Magic Pixel” screen feature is particularly interesting for privacy.
Concerns: The battery might not improve much unless the higher leaked numbers are real. The downgraded 3x zoom camera is also a risk for users who care about optical zoom.
Who Might Want to Wait: If you’re already using a recent flagship (e.g. S24 Ultra or S25 Ultra), it might be worth waiting for S26 only if these rumored features (especially AI and camera) are a big deal for you.
Who Might Upgrade Now: If you’re on an older phone, or you absolutely want top camera performance and don’t mind some risk, the idea of the S26 Ultra is very compelling — but maybe hold off on pre-orders until more official info is confirmed.
