When will the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S23 take place?

● Galaxy S10 series — February 20, 2019
● Galaxy S20 series — February 11, 2020
● Galaxy S21 series — January 14, 2021
● Galaxy S22 series — February 9, 2022

Historically, Samsung introduced Galaxy S phones during the first three months of the year. Over the last few years, Samsung has released them in February, with only the Galaxy S21 series as an exception. It was probably caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, we expect a similar schedule for the Galaxy S23 series.

What are the features and specifications of the Samsung Galaxy S23 series?

Design
One of the most important changes of all time for the Galaxy S line-up took place in 2022.
Samsung has redesigned the Galaxy S22 Ultra to make it look and operate more like a Galaxy Note phone. This included it being a boxy design with an S Pen slot.

But the Galaxy S22 and the Galaxy S22 Plus remained largely the same as the previous models. It is very likely that Samsung will be able to repeat the strategy in 2023.

Depending on the models already launched, the Galaxy S23 Ultra would be very similar to the Galaxy S22 Ultra and the Galaxy S23 and the Galaxy S23 Plus would not change much either.

Display
In terms of design, the Galaxy S23 series can adopt the look of the Galaxy S22, with the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra particularly looking very similar to its predecessor.

Based on some rumors, that the Galaxy S23 Ultra set to measure 6.43 x 3.07 x 0.35 inches, which is a small increase compared to the 6.42 x 3.06 x 0.35 inches on the Galaxy S22 Ultra. It also features a QHD+ display (2560 x 1440) with at least a 120 Hz refresh rate.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy S23 and S23 Plus will be 6.1 inches and 6.6 inches screen sizes, respectively and both phones will have FHD+ screens (2,340 × 1,080).

Cameras
There are many rumors that the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra will get a 200 MP camera, as a unique sensor from Samsung, claimed to be the ISOCELL HP2, which will defeat both the existing HP1 and HP3 200MP sensors that the company makes. Which would be a significant increase compared to the 108 MP camera on the Galaxy S22 Ultra.

According to a report, the Galaxy S23 and the Galaxy S23+ could be fitted with a 12-megapixel front camera, an upgrade to the sensor before after 2019. It is unclear what further upgrades could be involved with the Galaxy S23 Ultra.

In terms of telephoto and ultra-wide cameras, it seems likely that nothing will change if it is the same resolution sensor.

Chipset
All models in the series expected to be powered by the upcoming Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2 SoC and Exynos 2300 chipset, with a focus on battery efficiency. The South Korean tech giant Samsung is likely to use the Exynos chipset for its next flagship Galaxy S23 series, which should be launched in 2023.

Other rumours
It is expected that the Galaxy S23 Ultra will be the same or higher than the Galaxy S22 Ultra. That would mean at least 8 GB of RAM, at least 128 GB of internal storage.

In terms of battery, the Samsung S23 Ultra is tilted to get the same battery as the S22 Ultra (from multiple sources) and the S21 Ultra, which is 5000mAh.

The base variant, the Galaxy S23 is tilted to get a slight increase in battery capacity to 5% compared to the Galaxy S22. Meanwhile, the S23 Plus can also obtain an increase, up to 4700 mAh from the 4500 mAh battery of the S22 Plus.

When it comes to charging speed, the Galaxy S23 can support the same 25W charging speed as the Galaxy S22. There's no word on the Galaxy S23 Plus or S23 Ultra, but the S22 versions of those phones support 45W fast charging.
