Hi Everyone, after these one UI updates from 8.0, am facing servere crashing / bug issues in Samsung pay.
Whenever am opening Samsung Pay, it does not display fingerprint or pin option for any of my cards. Also, if shown by chance, after my authentication the app crashes and a error report is generated.

This problem faced by me for almost last 6 months.

Is it true that Samsung unable to sort of this with so many monthly updates? Without sorting core issues, it's waste to go for next one UI versions.

I hope #Samsung will take it to their concern.

Regards,
Saran.

Hi Saran, I’m sorry to hear you’ve been dealing with this for so long. Since the issue happens right at the authentication stage (fingerprint/PIN), it sounds like a conflict between the app and the secure folder/biometrics data.

Have you tried these specific steps yet?

Clear Cache and Data: Go to Settings > Apps > Samsung Pay (or Samsung Wallet) > Storage > Clear Cache and Clear Data. (You will need to re-add your cards). Update 'Samsung Checkout' and 'Samsung Wallet': Sometimes the background framework needs an update from the Galaxy Store, not just the Play Store. Reset Biometrics: Try removing your registered fingerprints and re-adding them in the phone's main settings. Wipe Cache Partition: This is often the best fix after a One UI update. Turn off the phone, connect it to a PC via USB, then hold Volume Up + Power to enter Recovery Mode and select 'Wipe Cache Partition' (this won't delete your data).

If none of that works, you might need to send a log report directly through the Samsung Members app immediately after the crash occurs so they can see the specific error.

Thank you for your message. We understand how frustrating this issue can be, especially when it has been happening for some time.

Before proceeding further, please try the troubleshooting steps below:

  1. Go to Settings > Apps > Samsung Wallet > Storage and clear both cache and data, then restart the device.
  2. Ensure biometrics and PIN are properly set up from
    Settings > Biometrics and security.
  3. Uninstall Samsung Wallet, restart the phone, then reinstall it from the Galaxy Store.
  4. Make sure there are no power-saving or app-restriction settings applied to Samsung Wallet.
  5. Confirm your device software is fully updated.

If the issue continues after trying these steps, please submit an error report through Samsung Members immediately after the crash occurs so our technical team can investigate further.

Thank you for your patience.
