Samsun Pay - No receipt of SMS verification text message

I'm not getting a verification SMS text message from the Samsung Pay app (Curve) so I can't add any cards.  I've just ordered a Galaxy watch LTE to use for making payments amongst other things, and I understand that only Samsung Pay works with the watch, so this will be very limiting and not fit for purpose.  My phone is receiving text messages fine, I've had two colleagues send and receive messages to me in the meantime.  It's definitely an issue at the Samsung Pay text message sending end.

I have the same problem, I'm not receiving the verification message. with Samsung pay plus for my phone. - same with you have asked friends to SMS, got these fine, tried on the area code thing removing (0) as in the UK.

First, find out MESSAGE centre number of your SIM/phone number for area in which it's registered. Then
Go to MESSAGES app, tap on three dots on upper hand right corner-> settings -> More settings -> Text messages -> check Message centre numbers.

Then tap on Message centre, then type in Correct Message centre number if your Message centre has wrong number & then save it. Message centre numbers for different service providers keep getting updated.
