Hello everyone, not sure if it's a Samsung issue or an instagram issue ..
My auto correct /predictive texts are not working on instagram when messaging or typing captions.. all my settings are correct.. other social media apps are auto correcting etc perfectly.
Any tips or assistance will be helpful.

Hi Sanabeel
Here are the most common fixes for Samsung S24 Ultra autocorrect not working specifically on Instagram, even when it works fine on other apps. This issue happens often because Instagram uses its own in-app text field, which sometimes doesn’t trigger Samsung Keyboard’s prediction engine properly.
Try these steps in order:
---
✅ 1. Clear Instagram’s Cache (NOT data)
Sometimes Instagram’s text component glitches.
Settings → Apps → Instagram → Storage → Clear cache
Then restart the phone.
---
✅ 2. Toggle Samsung Keyboard Prediction Settings
Even if it's working on other apps, refresh the settings:
Settings → General Management → Samsung Keyboard settings → Reset to default settings → Reset keyboard settings
(No personal data or passwords are lost.)
---
✅ 3. Disable “Suggest Emojis, Stickers, Clipboard, etc.” Temporarily
Instagram sometimes conflicts with these features.
Go to:
Settings → General Management → Samsung Keyboard → Suggest while typing
Turn OFF:
Emojis
Stickers
Predictive text (toggle OFF → ON again)
---
✅ 4. Switch Keyboard, then Switch Back
This forces Instagram to refresh text input compatibility.
Settings → General Management → Keyboard List & Default → enable Gboard
Open Instagram and type something
Then switch back to Samsung Keyboard
This often fixes prediction.
---
✅ 5. Update BOTH Instagram and Samsung Keyboard
Go to Galaxy Store:
Search Samsung Keyboard
Install any update
Then Google Play Store → Update Instagram.
---
✅ 6. Check if Instagram’s "In-App Browser" is Bugged
If the issue happens in captions or comments:
Tap the typing area once
Pull down the notification shade
Tap "Switch to Samsung Keyboard" (If available)
Sometimes IG forces a simplified input field.
---
👍 If the problem continues…
It is very likely an Instagram-side bug, especially since many S24 users reported it after recent updates. In such cases the only fix is:
👉 Wait for the next Instagram update
(or install the Instagram Beta which often fixes keyboard issues earlier).

Galaxy SHi everyone, I has this problem with all apps. Samsung native apps, Google, Browser, everywhere. The problem starded appearing after the latest update.
I've done a reset keyboard, then a restart and it's working again.
Cheeres!
