On April 30th, Samsung announced that it would stop releasing Android 10 and One UI 2 system updates for its devices in India. This is because India has adopted nationwide lockdown measures to resist the spread of coronavirus. However, a recent report shows that the Indian government has lifted many lockout restrictions. Subsequently, Samsung is now finally ready to re-start operations again.

After Samsung’s software update was interrupted, the first device to receive Android 10 update in India is the Galaxy Tab S6. The Galaxy Tab S6 LTE tablet also received the One UI 2.1 update. There are also reports that One UI 2.1 update for smartphones with pre-installed Android 10 (such as Galaxy S10 Lite, Galaxy Note 10 Lite and Galaxy A51) will get updated at the end of May or early June

Samsung’s resumption of the Android 10 update in India is undoubtedly good news, especially for Galaxy A50 users. A few months ago, the Samsung Galaxy A50 India Edition received the Android 10 update. However, due to a series of issues, the company had to discontinue the update. A customer representative of Samsung India told the Galaxy A50 users that an error-free update will be available after the COVID-19 lockdown period. Thus, it is only a matter of time before Samsung honors this promise.

Happy....!!
