I am an s9 user, though I had s8 previously, I lost my phone a year ago.
it is true that s8 and note 8 will be getting the one ui 2, but it will arrive after all the other devices are updated to one ui 2.
it may arrive at the end of this year in the month of August or september.

check that link once. even i thought one ui 2 is coming to S8 but i googled it once and for disappointed.
