Some time ago, the message whirred that the Galaxy S8 will probably not get an update to Android 10 and thus the latest Android iteration. Many users were understandably disappointed with Samsung's decision.

However, Samsung seems to be working on an update to the new Android iteration. This confirmed at least one Samsung employee on the demand of a user.

This information has been provided to Windows United, which also has the chat history with the support. There it is said that an update is in planning, but not surprisingly, no date is fixed. Should Samsung really work on an update, it should take a while yet.

One should not overvalue the news immediately and look at it with the necessary amount of skepticism, because one must not forget that the Galaxy S8 already came with Android 7.0 Nougat on the market and with Android 8.0 Oreo and 9.0 Pie already get two "Big" updates Has. Thus, the Galaxy S8 would actually be the end of the support for version updates. At Samsung, there are usually only a maximum of two of these updates. In general, support information with more doubts to enjoy than official statements of the PR.
