I have the exact same problem on my S7 edge the firmware is UAE and I'm in Australia so I have signal and update issues all the time. Because the firmware is UAE you get updates when the UAE get them and as far as 4G goes I've never been able to rely on it so Wi-Fi would be best whenever possible. Samsung will likely never release official tools to change firmware for a variety of reasons including that it can brick your phone just like a cracked version.
