Galaxy SUAE Galaxy S25 models should start receiving One UI 8.5 in early 2026, with wider rollout across other devices by mid‑year.

Galaxy SWhy It Happens
Background Processes: After a major UI update, the system re‑indexes files, optimizes apps, and recalibrates services. This can cause temporary heating for a few days.
Poor App Optimization: Some apps (especially social media, camera, or games) may not yet be optimized for One UI 8.0, leading to excessive CPU/GPU use.
Battery Management Changes: Updates often tweak thermal and battery management, which can unintentionally increase heat.
🛠 Steps You Can Try
Check Battery Usage: Settings → Battery → Usage. Identify if one app is spiking CPU usage.
Disable Background Apps: Turn off Adaptive Battery temporarily and restrict background activity for heavy apps.
Update Apps: Make sure all apps are updated from Galaxy Store and Play Store.
Safe Mode Test: Restart in Safe Mode to see if heating persists. If it doesn’t, a third‑party app is the culprit.
Samsung Members Diagnostics: Run the Battery and Thermal test inside Samsung Members.
⚠️ If It Persists
Samsung usually rolls out a hotfix patch within weeks when widespread heating complaints appear.
If the device gets too hot to hold or drains battery rapidly, visit a Samsung service center to check for hardware issues (battery or thermal paste).

Galaxy SIf you are reporting this to Samsung officially via the Samsung Members app, make sure to mention:
Ambient Temperature: Is the phone hot even in a cool room? App Specifics: Does it happen only on social media, gaming, or during 5G usage? Charging: Does the heat spike significantly when using a 45W fast charger?

Galaxy SThank you for reaching out to us. We understand that your device has been experiencing occasional heating since the update to One UI 8.0.
Following a major software update, it is normal for a device to run warmer than usual for the first few days. This is because the system is busy optimizing applications and indexing files in the background. To help stabilize the temperature, we recommend the following:
- Background App Optimization: Open Settings > Battery and device care, and tap Optimize now. This will close background apps that may be using excessive processing power.
- Check for App Updates: After an OS update, many apps require new versions to stay compatible. Please go to the Galaxy Store and Google Play Store to ensure all your apps are fully updated.
- Deep Sleeping Apps: Navigate to Settings > Battery > Background usage limits and enable Put unused apps to sleep. This prevents unnecessary apps from running in the background and generating heat.
- Monitor Usage: Try to avoid using the device while it is charging, especially for high-performance tasks like gaming or video recording, as this adds extra heat.
If the heating persists after 48 hours of normal use, please let us know.
Feel free to reach back out to us if you need any additional assistance.
