Galaxy S
I have a Braun alarm clock with a wireless charging pad, and I've been using it for some time with my S23+ with no issues for overnight charges. The phone would feel warm in the morning but not so much that I ever worried about it.
Now I've upgraded to the S25+ and noticed that the phone is extremely hot in the morning, and it seems to have stopped charging because of they as it was only on 77% this morning. Anyone else having similar issues with wireless charging the S25+? Anything I can do about it?

You're not alone—several users have reported that the Galaxy S25+ is getting much hotter than previous models when using wireless charging, especially with third-party chargers. Here are a few things to consider and try:
Possible Causes:
Higher Power Draw: The S25+ may have different wireless charging power requirements than the S23+. If your Braun charger isn’t fully compatible with its new charging profile, it might be causing excessive heat.
Efficiency Differences: The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in the S23+ was already optimized, while the Snapdragon 8 Elite in the S25+ could be drawing more power or handling heat differently.
Software Optimization: The S25+ is still new, and Samsung may need to fine-tune thermal management and wireless charging efficiency in future updates.
Overheating Safety Feature: Samsung phones reduce or stop charging if they overheat to prevent battery damage. That’s likely why yours stopped at 77%.
Things to Try:
✔️ Use a Samsung Wireless Charger – If possible, test with a Samsung-certified charger (e.g., 15W or 25W Fast Wireless Charger) to see if it behaves differently.
✔️ Check Charging Position – Misalignment on the pad can increase heat generation. Try adjusting the phone’s placement.
✔️ Remove the Case – If you use a thick or heat-retaining case, try charging without it.
✔️ Charge in a Cooler Room – Higher ambient temperatures can worsen heat buildup.
✔️ Turn Off Fast Wireless Charging – Go to Settings > Battery & Device Care > Battery > More Battery Settings and toggle Fast Wireless Charging off to see if it helps.
✔️ Try a Wired Charger – If possible, use a USB-C cable overnight and monitor if overheating still happens.
If the problem persists, it may be worth checking if a firmware update from Samsung improves charging behavior. Let me know if any of these help!

Thanks for the tip, switching off fast wireless charging worked for me. It now feels warm after an overnight charge but not super hot like before, and I'm getting a full charge

Thanks, I'll try switching off fast wireless charging since I almost only use this overnight, hopefully that sorts it
