There's been a visible drop in battery backup since the One UI 8 update.

Been seeing the threads on here, about how many have been affected. Took a sigh of relief as it cleared the air that it wasn't just my device.

But when is Samsung due to give an update which fixes the issue?

The battery backup was great when I first bought the phone. But right now, I dont think its anywhere close to that.
I'm pretty much forced to put the device on a light performance profile and turn on power saving if I want to the device to last a long time.

I had to reset the phone yesterday to get out of the beta block. Battery is doing considerably better. Idle drain was too much. And that has been controlled somehow..and the battery seems to be performing tad bit better. Not suggesting a reset.. but an option worth considering.. also I had tried all the wipe cache bull sh1t.. didn't help much..1759838689083.jpg

I see. How long ago were the updates on S23?
Remember a few users I know mention that the battery life of the S23 had fallen. This was a couple weeks back.

Honestly, its a bummer that the phones in the latest line up still have issues like this. If Samsung can't stress test their updates enough, then its best they just dont rollout any updates. Not like the One Ui 8 update made the phone any better. Just minor changes, which made the experience in terms of Ui a little fine tuned. But if such a small change ends up impacting battery, that's concerning. For that matter, no update should ever impact battery!

Guys, stop giving these SOP messages. You know very well after all the user reports and posts in the community that the battery life has gotten bad! Just fix the **bleep** thing instead of giving these suggestions. It is not tough for one to notice that things have gotten bad with the battery, when continuing to use the device the same way they've ever did.
