S25 Ultra Bad Battery - Fix

If anyone has recently got an S25 Ultra and you notice the battery life is worse then your S23 Ultra which is 2 years old (Speaking from experience).

After seaching around, finally found a fix. It's a **bleep** work around but it works.

The Solution:

Back up your infomation etc - advise to back up photos and videos on a Hard drive.

Factory reset your phone.

Don't use Samsung Switch to transfer info to your new phone from your old.

Don't transfer the old settings on your new phone (yes, wifi passwords will be lost, and alot off passwords, which you can recover in most cases) but trust me this is the only way.

Start your phone fresh and download apps as you need.

You'll immediately notice a major difference even before the phone can learn your battery usage patterns.

It seems to be that the settings and apps you transfer from your old device to new, creates some sort of battery drain that you'll never be able to find and won't appear in the breakdown of usage.

I wasn't going to wait for a supposed "update fix"

It's just a faulty battery or the device is still learning your usage patterns

Battery life of those devices is the best, much better than of the s24 ultra.

If it's persists, make use of your warranty and have it replaced by another 25 Ultra.....

How long SOT are you getting on yours?

Wasn't a OFB fault in this case as the battery performed up until the data from the old device was transfered onto the new device.

Check this out, got the phone 2 weeks ago, was giving me like 6 hours for a day, I said no man this can't be real. After it learnt my patterms.

So yesterday, I went all out and Hard reset everything, now its still learning my patterns and look at the attached :)

Pulled the charger out last night around 10.20pm

Heavy using, so im assuming now I should get around 12 hours SOT after it learns my patterns

Yes indeed, update today, phones still learning but the life is very impressive.

Mine has great battery life, I used Smart Switch to transfer, Settings and My Files only.

Not bad, see you have two Sims and Ligher performance mode on as well..

Yeah, I've got one physical SIM and one eSIM. My light mode turns on at 30% because of a battery-saving routine I set up.
