Galaxy S1. Reset Display Overlay via Developer Options
Sometimes the "Display Cutout" setting gets stuck in a specific profile that doesn't match the S24U's hardware.
Go to Settings > Developer Options. Scroll down to the Drawing section. Tap on Display cutout. Switch it from "Device default" to something else (like "Punch hole"), wait a second, and then switch it back to "Device default". This often forces the OS to re-read the panel's hardware geometry. 2. Force-Stop One UI Home
If the offset is only happening on the home screen or app drawer, the launcher's layout might be cached incorrectly.
Go to Settings > Apps. Search for One UI Home. Tap Force stop, then go to Storage and select Clear cache. (Do not clear data unless you want to reset your home screen layout). 3. Check for "Screen Zoom" Interference
While you mentioned DPI (411), the Screen Zoom slider in Display settings can sometimes apply a scaling factor that doesn't play nice with the cutout overlay.
Go to Settings > Display > Screen zoom. Try moving the slider to a different position and then back to your preferred setting to see if the overlay realigns. 4. Report via Samsung Members
Since you mentioned this persists after the One UI 8 patch, it is highly likely a regression bug in the firmware's framework-res.apk (where display profiles live).
Open the Samsung Members app. Tap Support > Error Reports. Attach this screenshot and mention that "Display Cutout" is offset despite default DPI settings. This sends your system logs to the engineers.

Galaxy SThank you for bringing this specific technical matter to our attention. We understand that after the latest One UI 8 patch, the camera cutout overlay on your device remains consistently offset to the left and downward, regardless of settings or DPI adjustments.
This suggests a discrepancy in the display panel profile applied during the software update. To address this, please follow these steps:
- Reset Accessibility Settings: Sometimes display overlays are affected by accessibility features. Go to Settings > General management > Reset > Reset accessibility settings. This will not delete your data but will reset display-related customizations.
- Check Camera Cutout Settings: Go to Settings > Display > Full screen apps > Camera cutout. Ensure the apps are set to "Show camera cutout" or "Auto," and toggle these settings to see if the overlay realigns.
- Screen Resolution: If your device supports it, try changing the screen resolution in Settings > Display > Screen resolution, then restart the device and switch back to your preferred resolution to refresh the panel geometry.
- Report via Samsung Members: Since this appears to be a software-level alignment issue, please send a report directly to our engineers. Open the Samsung Members app > Support > Send Feedback > Error Reports. Attach a screenshot or photo of the offset and ensure "Send system log data" is checked.
If the alignment does not correct itself after these steps, we recommend visiting an authorized Service Center to ensure the correct firmware profile is flashed for your specific hardware. You can locate the nearest center here: https://www.samsung.com/ae/support/service-center/
