I updated my S24 Ultra to one Ui7 and now the battery is shot! I have to recharge multiple times a day whereas before it lasted me the entire day. I've had to turn on battery saver which had impacted the phones performance and 5G data access. I'm considering a Honor phone to replace this one. How long before Samsung fixes their software glitch in one UI 7? This is unacceptable!

Some People have said battery calibration has helped and also clearing the cache of the phone right after updating. Try it out and let me know if it helps. I donot have a flagship Samsung but would like to know if that helps so that when I get the update I can also do the same.

After updates, battery life suffers because it's readjusting so you can either wait for the battery to recalibrate itself(give it a week or 2)
or
Clear the system cache by switching off the phone and connecting it to a computer, then simultaneously press volume up + power key until the recovery menu pops up, then use volume down to scroll to 'wipe system cache' and use the power button to confirm. Then reboot the phone and it should be good to go

I think you should try resetting you phone. Back up everything you need and reset it
