There are certain areas or time when the most wider bands are not providing the data speed even signal is good. At that same time the other bands give better speed. This is tested with other phone.
Earlier I use band selection option, but that is blocked now.
Same problem is happening with 5G also. If 5G signal is slightly lower than 4G then phone is preffering 4G.
So, Samsung must provide some mechanism to select specific network mode and band.
true, samsung is getting worse day by day by providing unnecessary valueless customisation features through one ui such as panel colour changing, menu icon shape modifying etc. But no actual real world problem solving practical features. 🤦🏻
I think Samsung developers are much focused on idle scenarios than real life scenarios. Call and Internet is the primary requirement, so possible scenarios & solutions to those real problems must be considered.
exactly to the point. In my s23 ultra, system one ui takes nearly 41gb of space. That includes a tiny bit of real life usable features. All other unnecessary fancy features, which no-one use in daily life.
On the other hand, other brands ui on Android takes less than half the space and gives us tons of real life oriented features.
I'm so disappointed after purchasing s23 ultra. Apart from camera and S pen, there's no good thing into it. And camera also, i could able to manage earlier through gcam port with better capabilities.
There must be an option to set strict network mode like 4g only or 5g only. Also it should allow to force to use specific band in that mode. Example: if the band 40 gain is -100 then it is preferring over band 3 with gain -85 or above. Since the band 40 signel is weak the speed of the network is slow, there are choppy voice calls. Where at the same time in band 3 every thing was OK and smooth. Same happening with 5G network. If the 4G network signal strength is better than 5g then it is not using 5g, even the 5g signal strength is usable. So, my request is to provide some mechanism which allow us to force network mode and band selection.
