In S25 Ultra I am facing the same issue after latest batch system update. No matter what you try to registering your fingerprint, you will still face the same issue unless they listen anf figure out the root cause and resolve it.

Thank you for contacting us and sharing your concern regarding the fingerprint issue.

Please follow the troubleshooting steps below to resolve the problem. After completing all the steps, check whether the issue has been resolved or if it still exists.

Here are the troubleshooting steps you can try for your fingerprint issue:

1. Address Physical Factors
Most fingerprint issues are environmental or physical:
Clean the Sensor: Use a soft, lint-free cloth to gently wipe the fingerprint sensor (and your finger) to remove dirt, oil, or debris.
Ensure Dry Fingers: The sensor may perform poorly if your fingers or the screen are wet, oily, or very dry.
Remove Screen Protectors: For in-display ultrasonic or optical sensors, thick, cheap, or poorly installed screen protectors (especially non-certified glass) can cause poor performance. Use a Samsung-certified screen protector or a thinner film protector.
Scan Multiple Angles: When registering your fingerprint, move your finger around to capture tips and edges for a complete fingerprint map.

2. Software Troubleshooting Steps
Re-register Your Fingerprints: Stored fingerprint data may be corrupted. Remove all fingerprints and register them again carefully:

  • Go to Settings > Security and privacy > Biometrics and security > Fingerprints.

  • Enter your PIN/Pattern.

  • Select all registered fingerprints and tap Remove.

  • Tap Add fingerprint and follow the prompts, capturing different parts of your finger.
Add the Same Finger Twice: Register the same finger twice as separate entries to improve recognition success.
Wipe Cache Partition: Clear temporary system files that may be causing performance issues. Follow the “Wipe Cache Partition” steps from previous troubleshooting guides.
Software Updates: Ensure your phone is running the latest software, which often includes sensor calibration improvements.

3. Check Hardware Limitations
If all software steps are completed and the issue persists, your phone may have a hardware problem with the sensor itself, or it may use an older optical sensor, which is slower and less reliable than newer ultrasonic sensors found in high-end models (S21, S22, S23, S24 series).
