Use Smart Switch for PC/Mac
This is the most reliable method when over-the-air (OTA) updates fail.

Download and open Samsung Smart Switch on your computer.Connect your S22 Ultra via USB cable. If an update is available, Smart Switch will automatically prompt you to update.

2. Check Region/CSC Code (Crucial for Imported Units)
If you purchased your S22 Ultra from a different region, it may not receive updates until the active SIM matches that region's CSC code.

Check if you have a Korean or other international variant (e.g., in Settings > About Phone > Software Information > Service Provider SW Ver).If it is an imported unit, you may need to insert a SIM from that region or use tools like SamFw to change the CSC, though this can be complex.

3. Clear System Cache Partition
Sometimes, a failed update leaves behind temporary files that prevent new ones.

Turn off the phone.Connect to a PC via USB-C (needed for newer Android versions to enter recovery).Hold Volume Up and Power buttons. When the recovery menu appears, select Wipe cache partition using volume keys, then press Power to confirm.Select Reboot system now.

4. Clear Software Update App Data

Go to Settings > Apps.Select the filter icon and enable "Show system apps".Search for Software update.Go to Storage and tap Clear cache and Clear data.

5. Factory Reset (Last Resort)
If none of the above work, a factory reset might be necessary to fix a corrupted system partition

Using odin and flashing manually was the best option without data loss
