Hello everyone, so i have S22 ultra and after first month of buying it, i had a temporary issue with Cellular reception, like when in car, my friends would have reception and using network normally and i can't, then it got fixed by itself, then it kept happening for longer periods every few months. So i took my phone to Samsung store in Dubai mall, I had a warranty back then, they run a diagnosis on it and it appeared that everything is good, i told them the reception in the mall is good, it won't show a problem this way... But there's definitely a problem, but they didn't listen and didn't do anything about it, and now I'm using the phone for a year, and everytime i step outside the mall or enter car or be anywhere that doesn't have super strong reception... I'm left without reception, can't call, can't use Internet... Etc the phone warranty also finished...
Any suggestions or help regarding this matter?

Hello. Sorry to read about your challenges. It is most unusual for the S22 Ultra.

When you lose cellular connectivity how many bars do you have?

Have you tried a different SIM & network? Also, are you using your device with a normal case? Try using it without a case and see what happens.

Lastly, try turning on Wi-Fi calling under Connections in system Settings to see if it helps for when you're indoors & have Wi-Fi connection. Screenshots below:2 October 2024 030528 GTS_1000054961_1727823929.png2 October 2024 030557 GTS_1000054966_1727823957.png

I did try everything you could possibly imagine, i even changed sim card then also used the esim, you asked how many bars i have when this happens, well, i got between 1-3 let's say **bleep** bars, because i can't do anything when i loss cellular, if i tried to call it says i don't have reception, people can't call me and i can't call anyone it says not registered on network, while people next to me using their phones normally

Ok. This is most unusual. I can understand the service centre not being able to do anything if the diagnostics shows there's nothing wrong with the phone.

Did you try using it without a case [which has the potential to block signals]?

Also, when you changed SIMs, did you use a completely different network?

Lastly, can you check if your network is set to auto connect [so that your device auto selects the best/stable option]? See screenshot.4 October 2024 073058 GTS_1000055037_1728012658.jpg

Ok. I can understand your frustration. I'm actually just a normal user like you, on the forum. I'm not affiliated with Samsung.

Poor signal can limit your ability to make and receive calls and connect to the internet. Try these common solutions for weak or nonexistent phone signals.
External solutions

Check your carrier settings

Make sure your account is active.
Ensure you haven't reached any usage limits.
Contact your service provider to inquire about potential outages.
Verify that you are within your service provider’s coverage area.

This can vary by service provider.

Change your location

If you are outdoors:

Move away from tall buildings
Relocate to higher ground
Avoid parking garages

If you are indoors:

Move near a window
Go outside.

Remove accessories

Third-party accessories and cases can interfere with the antenna, especially if it claims to boost signal. Also, remove anything that may be plugged into the USB port.

Reboot your device

Turning your device off and back on will close all running apps and force the phone to reconnect to the cellular towers.

Check your device’s settings

Step 1. Open the Quick settings panel.
Make sure the following are set properly:
* Flight mode should be disabled
* Mobile Data should be enabled

Step 2. Open Settings > Select Connections > Select Mobile networks.

Step 3. Tap Network operators > Tap Select automatically.
* This option may not be supported depending on a carrier.

Check the physical SIM card

Verify that the SIM card is correctly installed and not damaged. If possible, test with another active SIM card. Your service provider may be able to assist with this if you do not have another SIM.
