Hey everyone.

I wanted to share some thoughts on the S22 Ultra and its display which is both its biggest advantage and disadvantage. The display on the S22 Ultra is stunning at first but over time it starts to wear out. Specifically after a year or two you might notice green lines appearing which can be pretty annoying.

Here's something interesting. Copy displays or aftermarket replacements seem to have fewer issues with these green lines compared to the original OEM displays. It's like the OEM displays are more prone to this kind of wear and tear. Also you won't see these green lines as much in the S24 and S25 series because Samsung changed the display technology for those models.

The S22 Ultra uses LTPO 2.0 second gen OLED driver tech. The S24 Ultra uses LTPO 3.0 or newer with an improved oxide TFT backplane and M13 OLED materials. Samsung Display's latest organic compounds. In the S22 each pixel's sub transistor control layer the LTPO part was more prone to voltage stress and electromigration over time. That stress sometimes causes a single vertical column of pixels to fail which appears as the infamous green or pink line. The newer LTPO version in the S24 has better power efficiency and uniformity so those weak points are far less likely to appear.

Just wanted to share my small research and see if anyone else has noticed this. Cheers.

Most of the people thinks its either due to software update or heating. But i believe this is the actual fact
