Received the May 2024 update on S22 Ultra

How did you get the update? I had my last update in December

It came through via Software update in settings. Have you changed anything in terms of software on your phone? Check your software information in settings does it say official?

I did change my CSC once as South Africa phones are not getting updates. Maybe its still an issue with SA phones.

Mine is still on XFA

Once you change CSC and back, you break OTA updates for your original region, which is XFA. I had to flash the latest XFA Android 14 One UI6 firmware, because I changed from XFA to THL. When I changed back to XFA I could no longer get regular updates unless I used the THL CSC again. So you need to go back to the new one you set or flash new XFA firmware

What is the process to flash?

Go to SamFWtools
Search your phone model
Download the correct firmware
Download Odin or SamFWtool (preferably Odin)
Install USB Samsung driver which you probably already have since you changed CSC.

Thank you will give it a try. Another question on different topic. What is best way to backup whole phone? When I want to use smart switch it wants to backup to my phone first and I dont have enough space
