Can anyone from Samsung care to give all S21 users in South Africa an explanation with XFA and XFV models why we are still on October security patch and still waiting for the android 13 update?

The S21 was sold as a flagship device with promises of monthly updates. When did this change?

It seems like Samsung after sale service in South Africa is non existent. I for one certainly will not stick with Samsung in future if the South African market continues to be neglected.

So agreed. Samsung should not allow these carriers to hold their devices to ransom like this.
If Apple can do it, so can Samsung.

I would understand for device which are carrier locked mine in not carrier locked. Samsung hasn't released the software for XFA and XFV ( Vodacom).

Why are we months behind and not receiving monthly security updates?

It's because each country has different CSC
CSC is Country Specific Code

In South Africa we have three CSC
XFA
XFV
XFE
Depends on where you purchase your device from
All this makes a difference in the rolling out of updates

Vodacom is XFV
Samsung Stores
Telkom
MTN
CELLC
Are all XFA

XFE isn't very common but it does exist

100% understand the different CSC devices. This still doesn't explain why South African S21 users are months behind the rest of the world on updates.

Is it Samsung or the service providers?

Non flagships devices are already receiving updates before last year's flagship. This is a security risk for all S21 users who purchased the device with Samsung's promise of monthly updates.

It doesn't sit well...
