Hi, I got my s21 ultra a few days ago and it keeps overheating. I have done everything I could in the settings and been really careful with it but the issue persists. When I ran Geekbench I got mediocre scores, even lower than the S20+.
Please let me know how to fix this or if I need to exchange the device.

I blocked background apps, put to sleep the apps that use the battery the most. I dropped the screen brightness and resolution. I checked for updates hoping for bug fixes. still.... nothing

Give it a few days as your device learns your routines. Check for software updates too. Turn of 5G if you are not using it as well and turn mobile data off if you using WiFi. Routinely close apps and clear memory in device care settings. Mine was like this when I got it. It works fine now. Only heats up when I'm using the camera for a while. However If you are stll not content with your device performance after a while, take it to a Samsung Service Centre maybe?

With regards to geekbench - the scores will only be high in cold temperatures (e.g. Leaving the phone in an low temperature air-conditioned room and testing after)

The Galaxy S21/S21+/S21 Ultra utilizes advanced AI-based software to efficiently control battery consumption to match users’ usage patterns. Currently, 5G complies with NSA (Non-Standalone)* standards, which are used in conjunction with LTE and 5G. So 5G and LTE circuits are used at the same time for high-speed processing of large amount of data. It makes that the battery usage time is shorter than and device may become hot than LTE model under the same conditions. If you feel the device overheats, do not use it for a while and wait to cool down the device. If the device continues to overheat, please contact to a Authorized Samsung Service Center with device.
