Smasung S21 FE will get oneui8 but the s21 ultra won't? Makes no sense when the iPhone 11 gets the nee ios 26. Then you have new but mid range phones like Galaxy A06, A15 A16 that will have it. Come one Samsung, release the oneui 8 to the s21 ultra
That's a good question. But there are things that we should understand about Samsung updates. They are not the same for every phone.
Look... Samsung’s update policy applies based on the release date and not the product family name. Samsung S21, S21+, and S21 ultra were released in 2021. If you remember properly, they came out of the box with Android 11 and 3 major updates (up to Android 14) Now, the S21 FE came later. This was in 2022 with Andorid 12 and 4 extra updates out of the box. So even though they are the S21 family product, the 21 FE came later with Android 12 so it will receive an extra year of update in terms of One UI.
That we know. It should be is based on hardware compatibility. If the hardware can handle it why not push it for that device? That's why I made a point with iPhone 11
Newer phones are being made, and they do not want you to keep being "up to date" with old phones. They want you to buy a new one for recent updates. It's part of its market strategy
