So I have been analysing my storage and I discovered something shocking. My system takes21.28 GB and other takes12.96 GB, making it a total of about35 GB (more than a quarter of 128 GB) of storage I cant use. The question is, is this my phone only or everyone else has the same issue. Check attached picture:

I think this is a weakness the Android operating system has. I too tried to clear cache memory and data for most applications but the change is negligible. I bet more storage will be used with the coming update of android 12 Screenshot_20211118-174110_Device care.jpg

Probably yes. I think a factory reset will clear Other then it's size will increase again as you use your phone.

Factory reset will not help if you are going to face the same problem again. With the continuous software updates it means more storage will be taken which is not a good thing

You can never clear cache and expect it to stay empty,ad you leave after cleaning cached data, half of it is filled again. The only way to completely keep your phone running smooth is to install an app if its also necessary. Samsung has the best notification system, but it's over aggressive. I learned something by IOS ,their apps are not that aggressive. Notifications uses data, ram,and trigger a sound and turns on the screen,so there goes your battery . Iphone has one simple switch for each app thay keeps apps background activity at bay. So i did the same with my samsung, I dont use that fancy deep sleeping apps story, its a gimmick, ask yourself what is best,do I wnat an app to behave,or do I unnecessary want my processor overheat and work hard to keep apps under control,so I go to each app that I don't use a lot and minimise their background activity,so they only function when I open them. I also use adaptive battery savings mode and let the phone learn my usage and optimize the ram allocation and ensure no in between charging, only when the phone is empty,so it can learn my way of usage, and throttle the processor when optimum speed is not necessary. If you use adaptive battery, don't toggle battery savings mode ,as it will now happen automatically and jou will confuse the system

Guys, apple has a bigger problem, you dont have any access to cached data, apple want to manage it and so theey trick you on each update to buy bigger storage. I completely wipe my devices once a year, and that's how I keep them running smooth

This is Mixplorer installed on my phone. I get to use 110.99 GB/128GB in Internal Storage then you find my SD card then you will find root. Root is 5.01GB. Only around 4GB for Operating System (Android 11) installed under System folder. But I don't understand why System is 17.01 GB in Device care storage.

At least you have SD card slot to expand storage. I recently deleted some pictures because I was running out of storage. This storage thing shouldn't be an issue for a 128 GB phone

It's mostly cached data,to help the apps index and integrate with your phone as from day one ,so it gets optimized the nore you use the apps
