My S20fe just got a forced update to Android 11 and UI3.0 and immediately locked me out of my phone. The update happened while I was asleep and I was unable to unlock my phone when I woke up. I had set a pattern and PIN as my lock screen. I could enter the pattern and it simply said it wasn't correct and gave me the try again countdown to wiping the phone. It never asked for my pin so I was screwed there. The phone ended up wiping itself killing everything.

After the phone finished it's wipe I tried to set the lock screen and I keep getting the message that it was already changed. Internet search shows that this same thing happened about a year ago to another group of Samsung phones. Is there a work around or magic button sequence to reset things or am I just out of luck setting up a lock screen until a patch comes out?

Any phone will NEVER install any software updates without users permission.
It can download the update without the permission but it'll never install it on its own.
and Samsung phone asks you to enter your pin or pattern after every 60-70 Hrs
