Just now i received a notification on my S20 that there is a security biometrics update available. I accepted it and installed. But now i am suspicious of it because it has no publisher name and a blank shield logo. Was not showing any info from galaxystore.
Any precautions to be taken or is it legit update from samsung?
I attempted to download and install this update on my S20 and it spent all day downloading on Saturday. I thought it got hung up and restarted my phone, at which point my phone full out crashed.
A red error message appeared on the black screen telling me something was stopping my phone from starting normally. It made me delete app data and started in safe mode to backup before it forced a factory reset.
I will not be download this update which has now appeared in my pop up notifications again after I spent a whole evening putting my phone back together.
