My S20 Ultra device has an issue where, when I download an application from a web browser, Telegram, or any other source besides the app store, it doesn't install and says "package error." Please advise?

Thank you for contacting Samsung Gulf Electronics.

Regarding the “Package Error” message when installing applications from browsers, Telegram, or sources outside the official app store, kindly try the following steps:

  1. Ensure the application file is compatible with your Android version.
  2. Delete the application file and download it again from a trusted source.
  3. Ensure there is enough storage space available on the device.
  4. Enable installation from unknown sources through:
Settings > Security and Privacy > Install Unknown Apps
  5. Then allow the browser or application used for downloading.
  6. Update Google Play Services and device software to the latest available version.
  7. Restart the device and try installing again.

If the issue still persists, the application file itself may be corrupted or incompatible with the device.
