When this Notification history option is turned on, notifications that you receive will be recorded there just in case you accidentally swipe a notification or want to see previously received notifications.
when playpass ask you to Scan your fingerprint, you get a notification about playpass requesting fingerprint Verification. You may have notice a Fingerprint icon on the Status bar whenever you are required to Scan your Fingerprint, that's what it is.
