I've successfully restored the functionality of the "now bar." I systematically reviewed the Google-related settings, toggling them on and off. But in the end, I believe that toggling on and off the Google app notification settings—specifically notifications on lockscreen, pop-ups, badges, and show information on lock screen—ultimately resolved the issue. Of course, there's a Manchester United and Hong Kong match currently underway and so the notification pill came up along with the now bar. I hope this works well for everyone. All the best. 👍

Certainly! Please begin by updating your Google app via the Play Store, and then kindly verify that your preferred teams have been added to Google Sports. Next, please access the Google app's notification settings and adjust each setting (lockscreen, app icon badge, pop-up) by toggling them on and off. Similarly, toggle the "show notifications on lockscreen" setting. If a match is live, the Now bar will be active.
