Galaxy SI have searched all over internet and cannot find any official information about this random vertical red / pink line on my screen. I have kept my phone always updated and some people say it is because of software updates. Idk if this is a software issue or a hardware issue.
Initially I had a very faint line, then within a day it disappeared but then I got another software update and a day later 2 lines appeared on my screen. They were visible to me coz I was using my phone way more. But then one became super light and one got extremely dark it is almost a neon line dividing my screen in 2. Now I have 2 faint lines and one obnoxiously bright neon line. All this happened over the course of last one month or so.
I am looking for any solution for this problem as before all this is really enjoyed my phone and people are just telling me to buy another phone which is not Samsung coz this is what happens with Samsung.

I am sorry that you are experiencing this issue. This is mainly caused by an OLED hardware failure, probably due to a heating issue. During software updates, the device becomes hot, which might have caused the issue.
You can go to customer service in order to repair or simply check the screen. Samsung offers free replacement for pink, red, or green lines on the display, depending on your region.
Otherwise, I recommend you get another phone if the cost of the repair is too much.

I don't think it will be applicable to your device.
