Very bad rattling sound coming from camera module sound.when camera app is open its stops.is it a manufacturing defect.. should my phone be checked ,its very annoying!!!!
Hi, do not worry as long as you camera is functioning properly, the camera module has some moving components like zooming and lens stabiliser that can cause this sound.
Knowing what device you have will give us a better understanding of the issue. My Galaxy Note 9 had rattling noise whenever I launch camera and it seemed to be worldwide issue after checking with Samsung customer care they replaced the camera module and confirmed there was a manufacture defect. Don't worry. Camera lenses for devices with OIS and autofocus is designed in a way that it can freely move with the help of electro magnets. While the camera not in use these electro magnets won't work and the camera lens can move its own while you shake. That's the reason for the noise. Don't worry. It's normal.
A slight sound when strongly shaking the device is normal! It may be from the auto focus mechanism of the camera even. So don't over shake the device, and if you want you cana lways get the device checked in a certified Samsung service center.
