Its smoother. I'm not sure its because of one ui 4.1 or because i increased Virtual RAM to 8GB, but my phone hasn't run this smooth in long times.

my observations:

1) After selecting to 2GB option phone was so cool.(Excluding gaming) I'm saying this because previously when it was on 8GB option even using the social media applications the phone used to heat a bit. but the battery life, that iam getting is way less compared to 8GB option

2) 8GB options battery life is stable. Idle drain is also less compared to 2GB option and
overall battery performance is also good. SOT: 4hr30min. but phone tend to heat even after casual usage.

But I'm choosing 8GB option because battery life is important for me. Regretting the decision i made to purchase this mobile🥲. could have bought iphone13 instead. can't undo this.

Honestly, Ram plus doesn't do a lot at all. Many users have complained about the lag and heat issue due to ram plus. I fell, it's just another marketing feature made by Samsung.

Phones run a lot smoother when turned off or set to lowest

Dear Samsung member,

Greetings from Samsung customer support.

Thank you for sharing your concern. We acknowledge your query and apologize for the same. And please follow the easy troubleshooting steps which might help to solve the issue.
Check space availability:

Is there sufficient space available on your device?
Kindly check the space on your device:
Path: Settings > Device Care >Storage

To improve the device performance there should be sufficient space. Request you to keep at least a ''minimum 20% internal memory free''.

Kindly check RAM in your device:-
Path: Settings>Device care>Memory.

To improve the performance RAM of the device should be free. So, clear the RAM memory once a day.
Check app cache
Does the device hang while accessing any particular Application/Game etc?

Please follow the below steps
1- Clear app cache through Device care:

Step1: Navigate to the app's screen and tap on Settings.
Step2: Tap on Device care.
Step3: Tap on Storage.
Step4: Tap on CLEAN NOW.

In case the issue still occurs. Please register your concern in Samsung Members Application (Open Samsung Members Application > Get help > Send Feedback > Ask question).

Thank you for writing to Samsung.

Oh my! I have the exact same experience. I had almost decided to sell my s21 plus till I discovered this thread. My wife's oneplus nord 2 is much more smooth than a supposed flagship. Turning off Ram plus solved it. As someone mentioned above, my phone has never felt so smooth in last 6-8 months. I had ram plus on from day one. Samsung should check features for adverse events before committing for release. Thanks for it!
