Galaxy SHey Samsung Fans! 👋
Are you tired of grainy, low-res video calls using your laptop's built-in camera? We have some exciting news for those of you who just picked up the new Galaxy S26!
Samsung has officially integrated the Native Android Webcam feature. This means you can now use your S26’s pro-grade lens as a plug-and-play webcam for your PC or Mac without needing any complicated third-party apps.
Whether you're hopping on a Microsoft Teams meeting, a Zoom call, or a Discord hangout, your video quality is about to get a massive upgrade.
🚀 How to set it up:
Connect: Use a high-quality USB-C cable to plug your Galaxy S26 into your computer.
Change USB Settings: Swipe down from the top of your screen to open the Notification Panel. Tap on the "USB for file transfer" (or "Charging only") notification.
Select Webcam: Under the "Use USB for" menu, you will now see a new option: Webcam. Select it!
Customize Your View: Once connected, a preview window will appear on your phone. You can:
Switch between the Front and Rear cameras (use the Rear for the best quality!).
Enable "High Quality Mode" for the sharpest possible image.
Start Your Call: Open your video conferencing app on your PC and select "Android Camera" as your video input source.
Why use it?
Superior Clarity: Use the S26's advanced sensors and image processing.
Native Support: No laggy third-party software—it’s built right into the system.
Flexibility: Easily switch lenses or use features like zoom directly from your phone screen during the call.
Note: Currently, this feature is rolling out with the Galaxy S26 series. Keep an eye out for future One UI updates to see if this lands on older Galaxy devices soon!
