Hello Samsung Team,
I would like to report an issue regarding portrait photography on my Galaxy S21 FE.
Since recent One UI updates, portrait photos appear noticeably soft and over-processed, especially on facial details. Even with Beauty features turned off and Scene Optimizer disabled, the camera still applies strong smoothing and noise reduction. This causes faces to lose natural texture and sharpness.
In good lighting conditions, the camera hardware is capable, but the software processing seems to reduce micro-detail and skin texture. Compared to earlier software versions, portrait results previously appeared sharper and more natural.
I kindly request that Samsung consider:
• Reducing aggressive skin smoothing in Portrait mode
• Improving detail retention in facial areas
• Allowing users to completely disable all automatic smoothing
• Providing a “Natural Detail” option in Portrait processing
The Galaxy S21 FE has strong hardware, and improving portrait processing would significantly enhance user experience.
Thank you for your support.
