Pc File transfer

My s7 edge is denying access to PC file transfer .What should I do?

What is the S7 Edge saying?

A notification saying I should download Samsung smart view or Samsung files transfer but still nothing is working even if I try downloading those apps .But with other phone transfers from pc is working

Could you take a screenshot so I have a better idea. This does not sound right, you don't usually need extra software to access storage.

But I've not included the notification that was shown on the screen of the phone after I inserted the USB cable into the pc port cause it's no longer showing .It was commanding me to download a certain app for file transfer to work. This was somehow confusing cause at first file transfer was working well and there was no problem until this arose some 2 weeks ago.

Yes,that message only . But file transfer still not working . A folder is just showing, clicking to see what inside on pc it's showing empty .

1. Restart both devices (S7 Edge & PC)
2. Try a different cable
3. Try a different computer

See if this persists. If it does, check to see if your phone is charging normally (not slow)

Okay I'll try it but that has to be tomorrow coz it already late here such that I can't find another friends pc .But all in all, thank you for the help . I appreciate, but if it persists I'll come back to you. THANKS!
