Dear Samsung,

It is really frustrating that Samsung Galaxy S20 Fe doesn't have pre-build app lock feature. I don't understand why samsung didn't include this simple but efdective feature in this model which is almost a flagship device. Ngl, this smartphone is a beast. But also it is sad that my previous phone Galaxy J7 max has the app lock feature, but S20 fe users have to use a third part app for locking the apps.

It's a humble request to the developers. I hope Samsung will include this feature in next updates.

Secure folder>>>any app lock in android. This post will help you to use secure folder effectively.
Normal less secure app lock which you get in other brands is not coming anytime soon to Samsung.

Nb: People having Secure folder asking for app lock is similar to a person sitting on a gold mountain asking for a gram of gold.

Thanks for your suggestions.
Actually you didn't get my point. Suppose I want my Messenger to be locked from others. I just want to lock the app with my fingerprint. If I add my messenger app to the secure folder, that makes another copy but it remains unlocked outside Secure Folder which doesn't make any sense.

Actually you didn't read my post. That's why. I have given the exact solution for this issue.

You need to install the apps you need to lock inside the secure folder ONLY!! Then it will make sense. That's why I made an elaborate post on this. Yet people can't understand. 🤷

@Sid_Kanrna I have read it now.
So if I install messenger app inside secure folder and someone texts me, will I get notifications as regular we get normally outside secure folder?

You will get notified but notifications will be hidden..you will need to use fingerprint to read them. I mean it's the use of app lock right. You will be notified that you have messages anyways. It's just that you can't read them without unlocking the app.

That's great. Actually I am used to my previous J7 max inbuilt App lock system which came under S Secure option of the phone. It was flexible for me also. Anyway, thanks for helping. Have a good day.

Glad that it helped. Yeah a simple app lock would've been more easy to use,I agree. However, secure folder is more secure. But the issue is that M series and F series users don't have both now.
