Correlating price and updates shows your maturity in tech. AOSP phones can technically get OS updates the moment Open Handset Alliance/Google makes the OS repository public. Non-AOSP phones like the ones from Samsung and LG, etc cannot.

there is no major diff btw oreo n nougat samsung ui. im hapy with 7.0 on my s7 edge. even if we get oreo. it will feel old after 2 days n we will ask for 8.1.

u dont know the benefits of update
itv will improve ur performance and secure ur phone.if u have prob then u be in nougat itself and dont update to oreo.

still note 8 which is the latest from Samsung and costs almost twice as s7 edge didn't get oreo. how would u expect s7 edge to receive oreo??
