To keep the battery health of your Galaxy Devices in peak condition, you should focus on minimizing heat and reducing the stress caused by full charge cycles.

Since you are a Samsung enthusiast and a content creator, your device likely handles heavy workloads—like filming and editing—which are the times your battery is most vulnerable.

1. Use Samsung’s Built-in Protection

The S25 Ultra introduced sophisticated Battery Protection settings. Go to Settings > Battery > Battery Protection and select one:

  • Basic: Stops at 100% and restarts at 95%.
  • Adaptive: Learns your sleep schedule to finish charging to 100% just before you wake up.
  • Maximum (Highly Recommended): Caps the charge at 80%. This significantly reduces the chemical wear on the lithium-ion cells.

2. Control the "Heat Factor"

Heat is the #1🔥 cause of permanent battery capacity loss.

  • Disable Fast Charging at Night: If you charge while you sleep, speed isn't necessary. Turn off "Fast Charging" in battery settings to keep the device cool.
  • Cooling during Content Creation: When recording high-resolution video, try to keep the phone out of direct sunlight. If the phone feels hot, take a short break or remove the protective case to help it breathe.
  • Bypass Charging (Gaming/Heavy Tasks): If you use your phone while plugged in for long periods, look for the "Pause USB Power Delivery" setting in the Gaming Hub. This sends power directly to the processor instead of the battery, preventing heat buildup.

3. Software & Performance Tweaks

  • Light Performance Mode: Go to Settings > Device Care > Performance Profile and choose "Light." This prioritizes cooling and battery life over raw processing speed without affecting your 120Hz scrolling or display quality.
  • App Power Management: Ensure "Put unused apps to sleep" is enabled. For creators, manually setting your heavy video editing apps to "Deep Sleep" when not in use prevents them from draining power in the background.
  • Dark Mode: Since the S24 Ultra has an LTPO AMOLED screen, using Dark Mode physically turns off pixels, reducing the power draw and heat generated by the display panel.
